STUDIOLO NEW YORK

November 2026

Following two successful editions in London - at Spencer House and the College Garden and Cloisters of Westminster Abbey - Studiolo is pleased to announce its first international edition will be held in New York City at Storied, located  in the West Chelsea Historic District.

Set in ever-changing cities and innovative locations, Studiolo concentrates the best elements of a standard multi-day art fair into a single, high-impact day. With a focus on fostering relationships across generations and widening the pool of collectors, each edition brings together an audience made up of museums, patrons groups, advisors and private clients.

Studiolo’s New York edition will showcase a carefully curated selection of exceptional art, design and objects from leading galleries and dealers. From Old Master paintings and sculpture, to furniture and silver, contemporary miniatures, glass and ceramics, a wide range of works will be on display.

This edition of Studiolo has been designed by Dani Mileo, Untitled Office, and will feature an environment developed in collaboration with leading textile creator Maharam.

THE LOCATION

STORIED, 547 W 26TH STREET, NEW YORK CITY

Located in West Chelsea, this edition of Studiolo will be held at the home to one of New York’s first taxi fleet garages in the 1900s. Now known as Storied, 547 W 26th is no stranger to highlighting the arts, having previously served as the private residence and studio of legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz in the 1990s and early 2000s. A creative sanctuary defined by light, scale and character, the space subsequently became a home for creatives, including those from the world of the performing arts.

With its light-filled industrial architecture, Storied offers an extraordinary setting for art and design, aligning with Studiolo's mission to present beautiful objects in unexpected ways, set within architecturally and historically unique environments where they would not ordinarily be encountered.

THE DESIGN

Dani Mileo, Untitled Office

The design for Studiolo considers how architecture might bring art into focus without prescribing how it should be seen. Between concealment and revelation, intimacy and openness, the space unfolds as a sequence of encounters, each shaped by what is present, what remains just beyond view, and the possibility of something unexpected. Fabric, with its long history in the presentation of art, becomes both material and mediator, shaping the delicate balance between the presence of the work and the space around it.

Rather than imposing a singular view, the architecture allows relationships to emerge between artworks, spaces and visitors. The experience is neither wholly contained nor entirely open; it shifts with movement, offering different perspectives and leaving room for individual discovery.

Founded by Dani Mileo in 2025, Untitled Office is an international design practice devoted to the spaces in which art is presented, experienced and understood. Its work approaches architecture as an active mediator in the cultural positioning of art.
